I really enjoyed The Company of Death, it was an engaging read. It is of course hard to come up with fresh takes for 'characters' such as the Grim Reaper or the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, given that they've been written and parodied extensively, but I would say Elisa Hansen achieved distinction and originality in this book.
